Weak feral cat knocks on woman’s door asking to enter the house in freezing weather, startled with the reason behind

Her heart broke when she saw the cat's condition and immediately open the door for the poor cat.

It was Valentine’s Day when a woman living in Quebec, Canada found an orange loofah in the snow, froze, and called for help.

The woman saw the cat staying outside the severe weather in front of the door and wanted to enter the house. As a volunteer foster kitten, Un Chat à la Fois, she took a photo and sent it to the foundation’s founder, Marie Simard.

It’s an adult cat and although she works with kittens, she can’t leave the tabby alone.

“As soon as I saw the photo, my heart broke, and I told her to take him to our partner clinic so he could be evaluated. His face said it all. He was on her doorstep for a while, and as soon as I told her to go find him, he didn’t try to run away,” Simard said.

The woman brought in the cat as soon as Simard made his decision. The cats are gentle and cooperative as they examine, take X-rays, and do blood tests.

The cat is full of bite wounds and is suffering from frostbite. Then it also has rotten teeth, diabetes, worms, skin allergies, and lots of fleas and ticks. It is also not disabled.

Simard knew the cat wouldn’t be able to handle the cold. The cat is very grateful for the help.

“He was very nice to the staff at the clinic,” Simard recalls. “He’ll take his paws out of the cage at the vet so people can pamper him.”

The staff claim that the cat was abandoned by irresponsible owners because it is so friendly with humans. They searched around but there were no reports of a missing cat.

Simard named the tabby cat Aslan, after the lion in the “Chronicles of Narnia” series.

Aslan’s health improved significantly after a few days. He moves into a foster home, where the once frozen cat quickly becomes friends with all the other cats.

And every day, Aslan shows his adoptive mother how happy he is to be with her. Simard said: “He is a very affectionate cat. “He likes to sleep near his adoptive mother.”

When Aslan’s adoption time came, neither his foster mother nor the rescue cat, Chloe, wanted him to go.

Aslan has diabetes so he needs a special diet, which means he’s always intrigued by other foods. He tried to steal food from his mother. However, all is well, sometimes he gets a treat.

The once sick cat now enjoys staying indoors, sleeping on pillows and cuddling other cats. He’s been through enough tough time outdoors.

We all know what could happen to Aslan if he wasn’t saved. It was kind souls like the woman who saved him that gave these furry friends of ours another day to cuddle.

So the next time you see a stray, open the door for you! It could be your next new friend!
