Romano confirms, Man United complete signature with special terms with OTF’s’ Prince’

According to information given to GiveMeSport by transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United is currently “in negotiations” with Diogo Dalot to get him to sign a new contract.

Erik Ten Hag chose to give Diogo Dalot, Marcus Rashford, Fred, and Luke Shaw one-year contract extensions. This means that the 23-year-olds at Old Trafford will now stay there until June 2024.

GOAL said recently that Dalot “loves” Manchester United and is happy there, even though he doesn’t have a new contract yet.

Dalot told the press before the Red Devils’ EFL Cup quarterfinal game against Charlton Athletic, “I love this club and I love to play for this team.” We’ll have to see how things go, but it looks like the team is headed in the right direction. This is the most important thing to me, and I hope that I can still help the team as an individual.

Transfermarkt says that the international player from Portugal has become the team’s top choice to play right back under Ten Hag. In 2022–2023, the right defender played in 23 games, helped score three goals, and scored one goal himself.

Income Sport says that Dalot’s current contract gives him a weekly salary of 32,000 pounds. This amount could go up if he signs a new contract with one of the big Premier League clubs.

Romano, who knows about player transfers, said that Manchester United has already “talked to his agency a lot” and is in talks with Dalot about extending his contract.

Romano told GMS, “They are having talks about Diogo Dalot,” when he told them this. They had met with some of his agents many times before.

Foot Mercato says that the Old Trafford team could very well look for another right back this month. This comes after it was said that Manchester United would let Aaron Wan-Bissaka go on loan so he could get more playing time.

Given how well he has done for the Red Devils this season and next, the former Porto star should get better terms. He has become a key player for the Red Devils.

Before Saturday’s Manchester derby, Dalot was a tough opponent for the wingers of the other teams. He had won an impressive 85% of his 27 Premier League tackles this season. This made it hard for other teams to deal with him. Also, you shouldn’t ignore how eager he is to attack because the 23-year-old is a big part of Manchester United’s aggressive style. Also, you shouldn’t rule out that he wants to attack.

WhoScored says that before this weekend, Dalot had made 1.5 key passes per game in the English top division. This shows that he is a good player to have on your team when the game is getting more and more aggressive. The star from Braga still has a long time to improve his skills with the help of Dutch manager Ten Hag.

Keeping Dalot’s value on the transfer market at a high level is another goal that makes a lot of sense. On Transfermarkt, he is worth €32 million, which is about £28.3 million. When you consider that he has been one of United’s most reliable starters in the Premier League this season, this fee seems reasonable.

Dalot used to play for Manchester United with Cristiano Ronaldo, and Ronaldo is a big fan of the Portuguese defender. In an interview with Piers Morgan, Ronaldo said of Dalot, “In Manchester United, Dalot stands out.” Even though he’s young, he’s a real pro. I have no doubt that he will be a successful football player for a long time. He is young, smart, and works hard.

If Manchester United doesn’t extend the player’s contract soon, they could lose one of their most reliable players in the next transfer window. This could happen if United doesn’t try to stop other teams from wanting to sign him first.

A Spanish source who talked to the Daily Mail said that Barcelona looked into a lot of ideas last year. On the other hand, Dalot’s new contract at Manchester United seems to be just a formality at this point.
