Pokemon Announces $25 Million Child Support Program

Donations are mostly in the form of cash, but some lucky kids may receive a Pokemon TCG card.

Pokemon Company International is about to make a very generous plan. Within the next 5 years, the international branch of the company that owns the Pokemon IP will donations $25 million for children around the world through a number of different charities.

Most 25 million USD will be donated in cash to organizations that are working to improve children’s lives and support social justice. Another part of this donation will include products Pokemon TCG and Pokemon Center. Sometimes, cash can’t beat the allure of a giant stuffed Pikachu.​


The parties that will receive support include global activist organizations, philanthropic groups in the Europe, Latin America, North America and Oceania regions, as well as local organizations near the headquarters. The Pokemon Company International in Bellevue, Washington and London, UK. Some of the organizations that appear on the list for support include Save the Children, UNICEF USA, Project Trevor, Children’s Welfare Association of India, Toys Foundation, Black Girls CODE, GlobalGiving.
