Manchester United are on the verge of making their first January signing, while Erik ten Hag hopes to raid Ajax for the third time as Red Devils manager, hoping to reunite with Mohammed Kudus.
Manchester United have been doing a lot of business on and off the field recently, and they are almost done with some of it.

Erik ten Hag’s side has won four straight games since returning from the World Cup break, advancing to the EFL Cup quarter-finals and collecting a maximum nine points in the Premier League. After losing Cody Gakpo to arch-rivals Liverpool, the Red Devils are still looking for a forward in the January transfer window.
Despite being pleased with his current options, Ten Hag believes the squad would benefit from more attɑck competition. However, it appears that United’s first signing of the month will be in a different department, and the deal should be completed before they face Everton in the FA Cup third round on Friday night.
Here’s a roundup of the latest Old Trafford transfer news.
Butland undergoes medical
Jack Butland had a medical at Manchester United on Thursday, with the Crystal Palace goalkeeper set to join the Red Devils on a six-month loan.
The 29-year-old former England international will serve as David de Gea’s backup for the remainder of the season.
Newcastle recalled previous deputy Martin Dubravka, who made only two appearances for United and is now back at St James’ Park. Butland has been second fiddle to Vicente Guaita since joining Palace from Stoke City two years ago.

Jack Butland will join Manchester United on a season-long loan.
Ten Hag wants Kudus reunion
Erik ten Hag is planning a third raid on former club Ajax since taking over as manager of the Red Devils, this time for Mohammed Kudus.
The 22-year-old Ghanaian forward, who can also play as a striker, shone at the World Cup in Qatar and has since cost Ajax £35 million.
Ten Hag signed Kudus from Danish club Nordsjaelland in 2020, and the Daily Star reports that the Dutch manager is keen on a reunion in Manchester, as he did with centre-back Lisandro Martinez and winger Antony. This season, the versatile attɑcker has five goals in 14 Eredivisie games and scored against Liverpool in the Champions League.

Mohammed Kudus is worth £35 million to Ajax.
Simeone ‘p***** off’ with Felix situation
Diego Simeone wants United target Joao Felix’s situation at Atletico Madrid resolved quickly, saying the 23-year-old forward is ‘p***** off’ about his uncertain future.
According to Spanish radio station Cadena SER, the Atletico Madrid manager is becoming increasingly frustrated after being told by club officials that Felix’s future would be decided quickly once the January transfer window opened.
Old Trafford, as well as Premier League rivals Arsenal and Chelsea, have all expressed interest in the Portugal international, but Atletico’s demands are said to have put the trio off making a move.
The La Liga club is said to want a £13 million loan fee for a half-season switch, with his full £250,000-per-week wages covered, or £88 million for a permanent deal.
