In 2023, Darwin Nunez may be able to switch positions with one of his teammates at Liverpool. The Uruguayan possesses the capacity to achieve the goal.
The year 2023 is going to be a monumental one for Liverpool. After all, the time has come to make significant changes to the team, and we have every reason to believe that midfielders will join us the following season. The possibility of charging extremely high fees.
There will be a change to the team, and it may be Jude Bellingham or someone else. The situation will need Jurgen Klopp to make some adjustments, and we don’t believe that the incoming players will be the only ones affected by those changes.

We also expect the aттack to face a change as Klopp tries to make things work. Principally, we think Darwin Nunez could change positions with Luis Díaz.
Darwin Nunez and Luis Díaz to swap positions
There have been some issues with Nunez’s integration at Liverpool thus far. To speak only of his tactical prowess, he has been excellent in every other respect, prompting Robbie Fowler to describe him as “extraordinary.” However, when the Uruguayan is playing in the striker position, the Reds’ play does not flow quite as effectively as they would like it to.
The Reds are not used to seeing link play of this kind from him. The 23-year-old player is unable to maintain control in confined areas such as the edge of the box or when he is surrounded by defenders.
Instead, the best performances have come from the team when Roberto Firmino plays in the middle and Nunez plays on the left wing in the wide position. This provides the latter with a little bit more room, and by drifting wide, he is able to isolate defenders, and no one can defend him one on one. Nobody will be able to stop Nunez all by themselves because he is incredibly nimble, powerful, and direct.
However, this presents a challenge. Dáz is a left winger of world-class caliber, and he has been terrific for Liverpool ever since his £37 million transfer to the club. It is not possible for Liverpool to use both of those out there.
However, it is possible that Diaz will have a career in the middle.
The Athletic claimed shortly after his arrival that Liverpool envisaged a future for him as a center-forward, and we are curious as to whether or not he possesses the skills necessary to replace Firmino in that role.
The Colombian does have the ability to maintain close possession of the ball, does prefer to drop deep, and his pressuring may be even more effective if he played up front. Given that Nunez only joined the team last summer to play in the forward position and that he cost a significant amount of money, this move by Klopp would be unprecedented.
But all indications point in the direction of this new plan becoming successful. While Nunez possesses the potential to be a devastating threat as a direct left winger, Daz possesses all the qualities necessary to become the next great False 9 player.
