3 reasons Man United should buy Youri Tielemans in the winter

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag told the club’s website before the FA Cup match that he was still open to bringing in new signings.

He explained: “If I get the chance in the coming days, then I’ll do it but it’s not up to me alone. I think at this club, every day, you have to get better and if you move, you have to get better. concession is an opportunity to be better then you have to do that is my approach and i am looking, i am doing my research around and i have an idea about the listings and what do we need to strengthen this squad.”

One potential late addition could be Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans. Here are three reasons the club should consider making a deal with the player.

Tielemans may leave Leicester next time.

Midfielder injᴜry

Christian Eriksen was knocked out by Andy Carroll of Reading at Old Trafford and left the stadium on crutches. Scott McTominay also missed the game through injᴜry, while Donny van de Beek was out for the rest of the season. Although the rest of the midfielders are still playing well, United need reinforcements and midfield must now be a priority, as the mid-season transfer market is approaching its final days.

This makes Tielemans a necessary deal. Man United are playing in four different competitions and having the Belgian international will give Erik ten Hag’s side a better chance of success.

Tielemans will have a great price

Man United only has money available for loan contracts because the club may change hands in the near future. Eriksen’s injᴜry could prompt Ten Hag to try to push the club to spend more cash. Tielemans could be a reasonable target, given his contract is about to expire. The midfielder’s contract expires in June and Leicester are expected to lose him on a free transfer.

Man United could make an offer of £15m, even negotiating for most of it to be paid in the summer instead of now.

This midfielder will be cheap.

Competition experience

Tielemans will have the potential to make an immediate impact for Man United. The 25-year-old has made 140 Premier League appearances and it won’t take long to settle in. He has also scored against Man United in the past.

However, if he arrived at Manchester United now, he would have attended League Cup and FA Cup matches, but his presence in the team still allows Ten Hag to have more rotation options in the Premier League. Tielemans will be eligible for Man United to add to the Europa League squad. This is a tournament in which he has made 12 appearances for Leicester, and previously featured against Man United for Anderlecht.

With the move, United will sign a player of proven quality for a bargain fee, who, at 25, still has his best years ahead of him.

Moises Caicedo: ‘My dream is to play for Man Utd’

The Ecuadorian star had the opportunity to move to the Old Trafford team in the past.

Moises Caicedo has now become a Һot commodity in the transfer market, and is facing the opportunity to join big clubs like Arsenal or Chelsea before the winter transfer window closes. Recently, the Gunners are said to have sent Brighton an offer worth a total of £ 70 million for Caicedo, but this club was quicker to turn it down.

In fɑct, Caicedo has also faced the ρrosρect of playing for another big team in the past, but that is the case with Manchester United. In January 2021, the Red Devils had the opportunity to sign Caicedo from Independiente del Valle for less than £ 4.5 million, but in the end they ignored the deal and Caicedo decided to move to Brighton.

Caicedo has become a top Premier League midfielder.

Notably, in a previous interview, Caicedo also admitted that he dreamed of playing for Man Utd. Manchester Evening News quoted the Ecuadorian star:

“My dream is to play for Manchester United. Antonio Valencia is an example for me to follow.”

“With his energy and dedication, he was able to reach that level. It motivates me to keep working hard and doing the right things.”
