The only baby who survived her birth, what she needs most right now is a mother’s love to help her through.

Having no strength left after giving birth, the cat’s mother and siblings left one by one, leaving only 1 cat who miraculously survived. After his mother fell ill, she was no longer able to care for her children and one by one they died. Until mainly due to his incredible will to survive, only Pluto remained. Thankfully, he was found in time and taken to the relief team.
‘He was precious when we caught him. It hasn’t been fed by its mother for at least 24 hours and possibly longer’ (Cailey Seymour, founder of Dorset Rescue Kittens, told Kitten Cat Post)
With no strength left after giving birth, the cat’s mother and siblings left one by one, leaving only 1 baby cat who miraculously survived.
“He had to be placed in an incubator with oxygen support and slowly warmed and rehydrated before we could feed him anything.”
After receiving round-the-clock care and attention, Pluto gradually began to become active, becoming the curious kitten he used to be.
Having no strength left after giving birth, the mother cat and her brothers and sisters passed away, leaving only 1 baby cat who miraculously survived.
Cailey said: “We don’t know if he’ll make it and we’ve prepared ourselves for the worst, as none of his siblings survived.
“It took about five days before we felt he was on his way to recovery. He started gaining weight and eating very well.”

Despite such a miraculous recovery, it is easy to see that the cat misses his mother and siblings very much. Cailey knew something had to be done. So when a mother cat and her six kittens were in Cailey’s care, a perfect opportunity presented itself. The kittens are all about Puto’s age and look almost the same.
After Bib has adjusted to his new home and used to people, it’s time to introduce Pluto.
Cailey wraps the tiny kitten and places it near the happy mother, then waits to see what she will do? Without missing a beat, Bib ambled over and nudged him back to the baby, then proceeded to take care of his needs.
“She didn’t even guess the second time. She started grooming him and hugged him towards her children as if she knew he needed her. She was so accepting of him – it made me cry,” Cailey explained to the Kitten Cat Post.
Once again feeling a mother’s love, Pluto felt at home immediately
“We’re still adding the kitten milk replacer because that’s the way he’s used to it, but it’s great to see him with a family.”
“We brought him in with the other kids so he could stay warm and play with them.
He began to pay more attention than her children.
Cailey said: ‘She used to cuddle him while her baby was nursing.
“Nothing compares to the care a mother cat can provide or the socialization a kitten receives when raised with siblings,” says Cailey.
“the kitten played with them and talked to mama as if he had known her all his life.
“We will continue to bottle feed Pluto as needed and keep a close eye on him.”
“I can put away his furniture and heating pad because he has been given the privilege of being cuddled by his mother and cuddling a kitten.”
